Vision and Mission

Vision

The vision of Chinmaya Vidyalaya NTPC Unchahar is rooted in the belief of its founder, Param Pujya Swami Chinmayanandaji, that children are divine gifts, endowed with unique potential and purpose. The Vidyalaya strives to provide a nurturing environment where children can not only pursue academic excellence but also develop into well-rounded individuals grounded in values and ethics. By focusing on the holistic growth of students, the school encourages them to dream big and equips them with the knowledge, skills, and character necessary to turn those dreams into reality. This aligns with the Chinmaya Mission's emphasis on spiritual wisdom and service to society, guiding children toward inner fulfillment while encouraging them to lead with wisdom and compassion.

Mission

The mission of Chinmaya Vidyalaya NTPC Unchahar is to draw out the best in every child by fostering intellectual, emotional, and spiritual development. The school is committed to helping students realize their full potential, shaping their aspirations, and nurturing their dreams through a balanced and value-based education system. With a strong emphasis on the Chinmaya Vision Programme (CVP), the Vidyalaya integrates Indian culture, Vedantic philosophy, and modern academic learning to guide students in their personal and professional growth. By fostering confidence, critical thinking, and a sense of responsibility, the school prepares its students to contribute positively to society and face the challenges of the world with strength and humility. This reflects the Chinmaya Mission's dedication to raising leaders who are not only academically equipped but also spiritually aware, able to serve humanity selflessly and lead with purpose.

CHINMAYA VIDYALAYA EMBLEM

The Chinmaya Vidyalaya has for its emblem, the lamp and the ‘Hamsa’ bird. In the light of Scriptures (represented by the lamp) the discriminative power of the human intellect is to be developed (represented by the Hamsa bird). Vedic tradition describes Hamsa as a bird that can drink milk alone from a mixture of milk and water. The human intellect with its discriminative power must be able to discriminate between Spirit and Matter and must come to enjoy the Spiritual Essence in the world of names and forms. Thus the emblem indicates that the function of the Mission is to help people in developing ethical values and cultivating in them a discriminative intellect. As part of Chinmaya Vidyalaya NTPC Unchahar, the students are trained to be discerning individuals, making decisions based on both intellect and heart, contributing to a society that balances material and spiritual progress.

"KEEP SMILING"

Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda blessed the Chinmaya Vidyalayas with the motto ‘KEEP SMILING’. Chinmaya Vidyalaya NTPC Unchahar prepares children with an inner equipoise to enable them to face life with a smile. The Chinmaya family greets everyone with a ‘HARI OM’ coupled with a namaste and a smile, devoting humility, respect, love, and joy in meeting others. The Chinmaya Mission teaches that a smile is a reflection of inner peace, kindness, and understanding. It is a reminder that no matter the challenge, maintaining a positive attitude with compassion and wisdom allows us to rise above difficulties with grace and joy.
