Job Description: The IT Supervisor plays a critical role in managing the technological infrastructure of the school. They ensure all IT-related operations run smoothly and align with the school’s objectives. Below are the duties and responsibilities associated with this role:

  1. Supervising and Managing IT Department:
    1. Oversee the IT department, including hiring, training, and evaluating IT staff.
    2. Ensure effective collaboration within the team.
  2. Policy Development and Implementation:
    1. Develop and implement IT policies and best practice guidelines for the school.
    2. Design, develop, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.
  3. Data Security and Backup:
    1. Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems.
    2. Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality.
  4. Problem Solving and Strategic Solutions:
    1. Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions promptly.
    2. Audit systems and assess their outcomes.
  5. Asset Preservation and Control:
    1. Preserve assets and information security.
    2. Manage and coordinate all IT-related matters, including systems integration, data, wireless communications, and security.
  6. Budget Oversight:
    1. Oversee the annual IT budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as an IT Supervisor or similar managerial role.
  3. Knowledge of IT systems Net working  and infrastructure.
  4. Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation.
  5. Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations.

Relevant Experience:

  1. At least 3-5 years of experience in IT management, systems administration, or related fields.
  2. Experience with network administration and security.
  3. Familiarity with project management.
